SOHO PLAYA Hotel

We enjoyed our one night stay in Playa del Carmen and we were glad to have chosen this place. Our room was spacious, very clean and had modern furnishings. We booked our room to include a free breakfast (from the healthy cafe/shop next door) but it wasn't worth what we paid; small cup of coffee, 2 pieces of toast and a few small pieces of fruit. However, the hotel has an excellent location - close to the beach, shopping, restaurants and night life. As well, the hot tub on the balcony was amazing and we will definitely come back and book with Soho Playa Hotel again!....minus the free "breakfast."

My husband and I stayed here for our visit to Playa Del Carmen. We stayed a total of 5 nights and could not give a better recommendation of this place. The receptionists were lovely and helpful. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast voucher every morning at Green Playa was such a treat- included coffee, juice (or a bowl of fruit) and an entree, I also slept great (I am a very sensitive sleeper), I turned on my white noise generator and slept great- there is a little bit of sound off Avenida 10, but it is not terrible!! We highly recommend this place! So glad we ended up here.

Great location and very nice friendly staff. But rooms are quite “tired” and its very noisy in day time because of construction nearby. Internet was also laggy But in general its a nice hotel for short term stay.

Staff is friendly, rooms are always clean, the bar is closed on the top but we did our own rooftop party. The sunset is beautiful from the bar. Parking is free, the Salad bar on the ground level is fantastic! I really recommend this place to couples, friends and those who likes parties and the nightlife Negative: no minibar, no hammock :(

The room was nice but had some visible damage. The AC units work, the jacuzzi is nice but had one jet not working. The shower was leaking and cause a mess everyday. Was very close to the main strip and 15 minute walk from Walmart. really great atmosphere. There was construction going on the whole time we stayed and we were woken up at 8 am every day by banging.

The location is spot on. I stayed at this hotel twice. The room. Is nice and bright. You also have a balcony. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had an issue with the shower head and Jessica was very prompt and had it fixed in no time. It was a pleasure to deal with Jessica and also the gentleman at night I don't have his name. All in all, it's a great hotel to stay at. One thing though is there is construction on both sides so it could be noisy during the day. But I hope you're at the beach during the day

This hotel has been wonderful all the rooms have been styled well and are beautiful! The king suite deluxe was wonderful I would honestly have rather spent my entire honeymoon there instead of the all inclusive resort I went to. The other smaller rooms were still amazing and very clean and well maintained. The rooftop swimming pool was well maintained and relaxing. It's a shame they don't seem to have the bar functioning there anymore but I hope they get it up and running again soon. The staff here we're amazing! My wife and I were doing a lot of exploring and they were all super helpful and friendly when we asked questions or had special requests. I would definitely go here again without question!

there was a bad smell also the wifi is terrible and only connects one person at a time. I liek the waterfall tho
